Installation Instructions ----------------------------------- TO START: Run the EXE to unzip the driver files. Follow the instructions to install the eSata card. These instructions can be located either at www.primera.com or with printed manual included with the card. 2. Turn on your unit. 3. After Windows starts a found new hardware wizard will appear on your screen. 4. (Optional) Choose "No, not this time" when asked to search the web for a driver. 5. Choose "Install from a list or a specific location" 6. Click Next. 7. Choose "Don't Search, I will choose the driver to install" 8. Click Next 9. Click Have Disk... 10. Click Browse 11. Click My Computer - Open the C-Drive - Click on the "eSataDriver" folder - Click on the .inf file that appears in the folder. 12. Click Open 13. Click OK 14. Click Next 15. Driver files will be installed. Click Finish. Section 2: Vista New Installation 1. Follow the instructions to install the eSata card. These instructions can be located either at www.primera.com or with printed manual included with the card. 2. Turn on your unit. 3. After Windows starts a found new hardware wizard will appear on your screen. Click "Locate and install driver software." 4. The computer screen will now become a few shades darker and the following message will appear. "Windows needs your permission to continue." This is a normal Windows Vista message for all software installation. Click "Continue." 5. Click "I don't have the disc. Show me other options." 6. Click "Browse my computer for driver software." 7. Click the "Browse" button to locate the driver software. 8. Use the scroll bar to find the C-Drive. Click the triangle to open it. Click the "eSataDriver" folder. Click "OK." 9. The path to the driver folder will now be displayed. Verify it is correct. Click "Next." 10. An "Installing Software" message will appear. 11. You should receive a message stating the software has been installed successfully. Click "Close." Section 3: Windows 7 Installation 1. Click the Start Button. Type "Device Manager" into the search box. Click on the Device Manager search result. 2. Rick click on "Mass Storage Controller" that appears under "Other devices" 3. Choose "Update Driver Software" 4. Choos "Search Automacially for Updated Driver Software." The computer will automatically install the appropriate driver.
